The Finnchain operational system certified

The Finnchain quality system has been based on the ISO 9001 standard ever since the mid 1990s. However, two years ago Finnchain started to review its operations in a determined and thorough manner with the objective of obtaining a quality management system pursuant to ISO 9001:2008. A certificate was granted for the quality management system on 8 March 2010, with Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance as the certification authority.

Managing Director Leena Tuomikoski describes the process: “Our new quality system simplifies our organisation and working process, and provides us with additional tools for improving our operations further. I am very satisfied for having started this project. We have completed the first leg by obtaining the certificate but our basic idea of continuous improvement gives us tools for continuing the development of our operations.”
