Products made of technical plastic and fibreglass are ideal for water and wastewater systems. The structure of Finnchain’s chain scraper system enables the use of these materials. Finnchain uses technical plastics and fibreglass as the main material in its system’s components. Steel parts are made of stainless steel or acid-proof steel, which prevents the formation of rust and thus the need for future rust removal.

 

LA scraper made of fibreglass is considerably lighter than a heavy steel platform, so moving a Finnchain scraper requires less energy. A 0.37 kW motor is enough for moving the Finnchain scraper.

 

The scraper consists of light parts which can be assembled during the installation of the tank, thus reducing installation and transport costs. The heaviest individual parts in the Finnchain scraper are the drive motor and gearbox, weighing approximately 100 kg. Due to the scraper’s light weight, installation does not require special cranes.
