Finnchain has believed in the growing need for environmental investment from the very beginning. Pekka Tuomikoski, the founder of our company, was the driving force behind the development of new solutions. We have continued on the path Pekka set for us and our product development is still active today.

– We have many industry-leading innovations and patents, including the FinnFlow® system. It enables scum removal from large areas using continuous, natural water flow, says Kimmo Kosunen, Head of planning.

Typical applications of the FinnFlow® system are preliminary and secondary sedimentation tanks in which scraper flights transfer the sludge close to the FinnFlow® system. Water flow transfers the surface scum to a removal pipe, and clean water is transferred to overflow channels. 

– The advantage is that FinnFlow® does not need a motor. As a result, it does not consume energy. FinnFlow® is self-adjusting on water level fluctuation. The system is easy to maintain.

Finnchain also manufactures conventional scum pipes for rectangular shaped tanks. Delivery includes slotted steel tube made of stainless steel, bearings, sealings and turning mechanism. Finnchain rotating scum pipe can be operated electrically or manually.
